MEXICAN ROOTS

With the BICENTENARIO (200 years since Mexico´s Independence), Guanajuato´s goverment organized EXPO BICENTENARIO, that´s conformed by different platforms, which opened on July of this year, it´s amazing you should go!

This pictures below were taken by me at the exhibition. All of them are original pieces, just look at the crafty mood and detail. We have such artistic bases, so I have a question Why are we always looking to get inspiration from other cultures?

THE NON MEXICAN DESIGNER OF THE WEEK

MARTIN LAMOTHE is to different for not beeing noticed, this Spanish fashion designer has an interesting view "BASED ON THE CREATION OF A HOLE ORIGINAL IMAGINARIUM OF GRAPHICS AND SHAPES”

COLOR IT OUT!

Molkajete by Kharla Barragan rocks! It´s all about Mexican inspiration, but in her own alternative way, I haven´t seen anyone inspired by the Mexican popular culture in an urban/ new alternative style.

IT TASTES BETTER WHEN IT´S TRASHY!

YUMMY TRASH is the perfect combination between sweet and goth, it´s hilarious to see such style making contrast with a conservative and cliché city, such as Monterrey.

Victoria Velarde is the creative brain and Priscila Gomez works in the business part of the brand.
